Terms of Service

Welcome to the Poppieshelp.ca website. By registering as a volunteer and/or booking a shift through this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Volunteer Commitments
    When you register for a shift, you are committing to show up at the scheduled time and location. Your participation is essential to the success of the Poppy Campaign and to supporting veterans in your community.
  2. Cancelling or Rescheduling a Shift
    If you are unable to attend a shift you have booked, you must contact your Location Captain as soon as possible. Contact information for your Location Captain may be found by:
    • Reviewing emails you may recieve reminding you of upcoming shifts
    • Signing into the site and reviewing your booked shifts by selecting "My Bookings" from the menu.
    Failure to notify your Branch Poppy Chair may negatively impact the campaign and may result in restrictions on future volunteer bookings.
  3. Eligibility
    Volunteers must be able to perform their assigned duties safely. Registration is open to all community members; there is no requirement to be a veteran, active military member, or cadet.
  4. Use of Personal Information
    By using this website, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how your personal information (including name, email, and phone number) is collected, used, and protected.
  5. Volunteer Conduct
    Volunteers are expected to:
    • Act professionally and respectfully
    • Follow all instructions provided by the store location and Legion Branch staff
    • Ensure the safety of themselves and others while volunteering
  6. Limitation of Liability
    Poppieshelp.ca and the local Legion branches are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur while volunteering. Volunteers participate at their own risk.
  7. Changes to These Terms
    We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
